This network of cities is promoted by the Municipality of Arnot (Hungary).
It aims to involve several municipalities in Europe with the main objective of strengthening the European and democratic dimension of decision-making.
Main objectives:
- to strengthen the European and democratic dimension of decision-making, thereby fostering awareness of the functioning of European political life.
- to increase knowledge of the exercise of electoral rights and the expression of duties and rights especially in view of the upcoming European elections in 2024.
- fight against misinformation and low voter turnout, among European citizens with particular reference to the youngest ones in order to promote the sense of belonging and the sense of citizenship, strengthening the union among European citizens, to make them protagonists of the future of Europe.
- Participants will discuss the roles and functioning of the European Union, its importance in our daily lives, the need to strengthen citizens' involvement in European political life and the importance of social and political cohesion between citizens of different countries.
