Lighthouse Languages is accredited since 2022 to the Erasmus+ programme for adult education. The Globe project, created to train Lighthouse Languages' adult volunteers in the key skills of communication and technology, allows the association to open itself up to comparison with other European realities. This initiative aims to enrich the teaching methodologies and improve the training offer, addressing the topics of digitalisation and internationalisation with greater preparation.

GLOBE 2.0 Tenerife (02/08- 08/08 2024)

Lighthouse Languages consolidated its commitment to promoting quality education and training internationally with a recent training experience in Tenerife. From 2 to 8 August 2024, a group of Lighthouse representatives participated in the ‘Quality EU Project Management - Erasmus+’ course organised by Edu2Grow, an international provider known for its training activities within the Erasmus+ programme. This intensive six-day course enabled participants to develop essential skills for writing and managing European projects, which are indispensable for obtaining funding and implementing impactful educational initiatives. During the training, participants were able to acquire practical and theoretical tools through exercises, case study analyses and discussion sessions with experts in the field. Thanks to these skills, Lighthouse Languages is now better prepared to lead projects that meet European standards, generating positive effects both locally and internationally.

GLOBE 2.0 Málaga (17/08- 25/08 2024)

The trip to Málaga offered a unique opportunity for a mobility experience that combined training and cultural immersion. From 17 to 25 August 2024, the participants experienced an intensive course in Spain, with the aim of enhancing their skills in digital adult education and foreign language communication, responding to the challenges posed by the digital age. The weekly programme balanced formal and informal learning moments. Mornings were devoted to training in digital skills (such as the use of spreadsheets, social networks, and basic tools) and A1-level Spanish, providing participants with the linguistic and technical foundations for effective interaction. The afternoons and evenings included cultural visits and moments of relaxation, including explorations of historical monuments such as the Alhambra in Granada, and tours of the charming towns of Setenil de las Bodegas and Ronda, culminating in flamenco evenings and interactions with the local community.

With Globe 2.0, Lighthouse Languages takes a significant step towards inclusive and innovative education, enriching its impact in the field of adult education and responding to the needs of an ever-changing community.
