Lighthouse Meets the History - Kids was an educational stay realized thanks to the support of the Lazio Region under the Notice "Soggiorni Formativi" aimed at lower secondary school students. The project took place from June 26 to July 1, 2025 at Tarquinia, a location rich in history and nature, and aimed to promote experiential learning through an integrated approach between formal, informal and nonformal education.
Activities were designed to develop personal, relational and cultural skills in participants. The program included workshops on the European Union, moments dedicated to environmental sustainability (such as beach cleaning and a workshop on recycling), sports and wellness activities, and historical tours with in-depth study of the Etruscans.
Great attention was also given to English language learning, creativity, personal reflection, and the strengthening of soft skills. Participants took part in relational exercises, role-plays, debates, guided viewing of documentaries, and informal sharing moments such as game nights and performances.
The stay concluded with a final ceremony, during which certificates of participation were handed out. Through this project, Lighthouse Languages offered the children a meaningful educational opportunity that combined learning, fun and civic awareness in a stimulating and inclusive context.
